H. Robert Huke, III Receives 33º Designation

Henry Robert Huke, III was elected to receive the 33rd Degree along with 173 other Scottish Rite Masons at the Supreme Council Session for the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction in Cleveland this week. The 174 men who were unanimously elected Sovereign Grand Inspectors General will receive the honorary degree in Washington D.C. on August 20, 2013 next summer.

As honorary members of the Supreme Council, each man who was elected to receive his 33rd has been recognized for his outstanding service to the organization in a highly appropriate fashion. It is an ancient custom to give honors to those whom honors are due, and there is no shortage of merit for this great honor within the Valley. 

H. Robert Huke, III was raised in Quincy, MA and graduated from North Quincy High School in 1965. He earned an A.A. in Liberal Arts from Quincy College in 1967, a B.A. in History and Secondary Education from Eastern Nazarene College in 1969, and an M.S. in Contracting and Acquisition Management from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1979.

 

During his youth, Robert was active in many youth organizations, earning his Eagle Scout from Troop 19 in Quincy in 1967 as a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He also served as Chief of Moswetuset Lodge of the Order of the Arrow that same year. In addition to his membership in the Boy Scouts, Robert was a member of Old Colony Chapter of the Order of DeMolay in Massachusetts.

Robert enlisted in the United States Army in 1969. He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in July of 1970. He retired at the rank of Colonel in May of 1997 after 28 years of service to his country. To this day, he remains involved in the industry as a Partner of The Task Force, Inc., located in Walpole, MA. 

Robert was raised in Wollaston Lodge in June of 1968. He served as the Worshipful Master of Wollaston Lodge (now part of Rural Lodge in Quincy) twice: first in 1994-95 and again in 2001-02. He became a member of the Valley of Boston in 1969. He is also a member of several of the York Rite bodies in Massachusetts. Rob was elected and installed as the Thrice Potent Master for Boston-Lafayette Lodge of Perfection on April 9, 2011. He was elected as an Honorary Member of the Supreme Council for the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction on August 28, 2012.
